Dr. Eevon Ling, ND, Bsc

After completing her Honours Bachelor degree in biology and psychology at McMaster University, and taking some time to work and travel around South East Asia, Dr. EeVon Ling realized that the holistic principles of naturopathic medicine made sense and pursued it as her lifestyle and career. Dr. Ling is a registered and licensed Naturopathic Doctor who completed her 4 year post graduate training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

Over time Dr. Ling realized that for many of her patients, simply providing personalized diets, supplement prescriptions and exercise recommendations were not enough. She learned that many people arrive at their current state of health as a result of a lifetime accumulation of habits and emotional obstacles. To add to her “toolbox” of natural healing approaches, Dr. Ling became a Certified Hypnotherapist. As a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and a Certified Hypnotherapist, she very effectively combines her knowledge and treatments to empower her patients to truly make lasting changes towards their own health.

For those patients with TMJD/TMD Dr. Ling may use hypnosis and other methods of stress management. An anti-inflammatory diet can also be helpful when it comes to debilitating nerve pain, such as that experienced with trigeminal neuralgia. B12 injections are useful in assisting the body’s healing of nerve damage caused by trauma or other disorders associated with head and neck pain. B12 is used to protect the body from the mercury that may be released if older “silver” fillings are being removed.

In addition, migraines are often significantly intertwined with diet and food choices. Many foods contain additives that can cause headaches and/or migraines. Taking this into consideration, our Naturopath offers food allergy test as well as amino acid supplements to manage migraines that may be brought on by the food we eat.

Dr. Ling believes that "good health is not simply being disease free. Good health is living life to its fullest potential. It is balancing your physical, mental, and emotional well-being." Dr. Ling's role as a naturopathic doctor is to help her patients overcome their obstacles and achieve their goals toward a lifetime of good health.
